ABOUT THONG GUAN INDUSTRIES BERHAD
The year was 1942. the journey began in the small town of Sungai Lalang, Kedah. Mr.Ang Thong Guan, an ambitious and dedicated young man started selling tea on his beat-up bicycle with a starting capital of only RM50. Over time, his business blossomed and started growing. Over the decades, we rapidly moved up the value chain to diversify our product range from manufacturing and trading beverages to flexible packaging for industrial and commercial use.
Thong Guan now stands as one of Malaysia’s largest plastic packaging manufacturers in Malaysia and the fastest developing company in the Asia Pacific. We are also proudly listed on the main board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE). Our main manufacturing operations are situated in the Northern region, Kedah which covers 20 acres with established manufacturing operations in Sabah, China, and also Thailand.
Syarikat Thong Guan Trading Sdn Bhd (STGT) or famously known as 888 Tea & Coffee started as a family-oriented business & was established in 1942. Originally a tea business, 888 Tea & Coffee ventured into coffee making in 1960. Within years, the company gradually grew and expanded our range of beverages. Now, not only being a tea and coffee merchant, 888 Tea & Coffee also owns a range of instant, breakfast cereal, chocolate malt drink and MORE! Our team worked hard to provide an enjoyable moment just after few sips of our beverages. 888 Tea & Coffee’s uniqueness is that every beverage crafted suits Malaysian taste and preference. ORGANIC CARE2U ORGANIC FOOD
In 2011, Syarikat Thong Guan Trading Sdn Bhd set up an organic food facility. Since then, we started to venture into organic food market. Our very own organic product range is known as Organic Care2U (OC2U). The products featured ranging from organic grains, seeds, dried fruits, green tea, organic adult noodle and also organic baby noodle. Organic Care2U organic noodles are manufactured by our sister company, Everprosper Food Industries (EFI) while organic grains, seeds and dried food are sourced from various countries around the world. Organic Care2U product range are certified HALAL by JAKIM Malaysia, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia (NASAA), Organik Malaysia, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) & Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP). At Organic Care2U, we strive to deliver the highest quality of organic food free from chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. Choosing organic not only preserves our earth resources but ensures that what we consumed is 100% natural, the way nature intended!
